Are you needed?
Is your being a necessity to others?
What value do you provide?
Why should you exist?

Do those questions need to be answered by others for you to feel significant?

Can you give yourself significance without deeming it as arrogance?

Why can’t you give yourself significance?
Is your judgement insignificant?
Are you insignificant?

Who will answer those questions?
Who will make you significant?

You must surround yourself with significant others.
Surely it will make you significant.
But what if they, too, seek to be significant?

How will you ever become significant?
Who will be your saviour?

The General
“You are significant.”

After releasing Death of the Western Icon, I felt incredibly dissapointed.

Not in myself, but in my anonymous saviour.
They didn’t like. They didn’t comment. They didn’t share.
Why would they let me down?

“Witness me now in all my glory!” I thought.
But I was wrong.

In retrospect, I’m glad the anonymous saviour never reached out.
If things went “my way”, I would never be living in my car, traveling the US, and experiencing the turmoil I am currently facing.

I want to be wanted (elsewhere from home, that is).
I want that call to action.

“We’ve been watching you for years and we think you’re the chosen one...”

Sadly, that will never happen.
Never ever.
Only in my wildest dreams.

This desire for significance persists in each one of us.
If left unchecked—a victim of exploitation.

Luckily for me, I discovered The General.

I now feel significant.
